Balance Plate Test
Once a Fall Assessment is completed, and results determine that there is a risk of falling, further testing is needed, Patients undergo a balance plate test which records the patient’s weight and body mass index, which determines his or her balance/stability/fall risk, and sends a report to the printer.
The report is graded “normal” or indicates the level of balance impairment (mildly impaired, severely impaired, moderately impaired, or profoundly impaired). If impairment is indicated, further testing is needed.
